8th Workshop on AAM Infrastructure 2024

8th Workshop on AAM Infrastructure 2024

The 8th Workshop on AAM Infrastructure is an upcoming event organized by the Vertical Flight Society (VFS). It will take place on September 17-18, 2024, in Washington, DC, at the US Navy Memorial Visitor Center.

This annual workshop is part of a series of events on the infrastructure needed to support advanced air mobility (AAM) applications. The workshop will feature two in-depth discussions on AAM infrastructure plans, progress, and remaining challenges.

The event is being held in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) headquarters, bringing together key industry, government, and academia stakeholders to address the critical infrastructure elements required for AAM's safe, functional, and economically viable implementation.

Previous workshops in this series have covered topics such as foundational infrastructure elements, policy changes, vertiport site selection criteria, and infrastructure operations and safety. The 8th workshop will likely build upon the knowledge and progress made in these earlier events to further advance the development of AAM infrastructure.

As a leading professional organization dedicated to advancing vertical flight technology, VFS is uniquely positioned to foster collaboration and drive progress in this important area through events like the 8th Workshop on AAM Infrastructure.
