Venue Information - ExCel Exhibition Centre

The ExCeL Exhibition Centre, located in the Custom House area of Newham, East London, is an expansive international exhibition and convention center. Designed by Moxley Architects and constructed by Sir Robert McAlpine, it was officially opened in November 2000. The facility has undergone several expansions since its inauguration, including the addition of London's first International Convention Centre (ICC) as part of its Phase II development completed in 2010, and further expansions anticipated to complete in October 2024.

ExCeL London is set on a 100-acre site along the northern quay of the Royal Victoria Dock, which is still accessible to shipping, allowing visiting vessels to moor alongside. The center itself boasts two large, column-free, rectangular halls that provide a combined space of approximately 479,493 sq. ft. (44,546 sq. m.) for a variety of events, including exhibitions, conferences, concerts, and even weddings. These are complemented by a central boulevard housing catering facilities and information points, as well as multiple sets of function rooms suited for smaller meetings or corporate hospitality.

Transportation to ExCeL is facilitated by two Docklands Light Railway (DLR) stations that span the venue's 600-metre length, with additional connectivity provided by the Elizabeth line (since May 2022), connecting the venue to central London in just 12 minutes. This accessibility, along with its proximity to London City Airport, makes ExCeL a convenient location for both international and local visitors.
